Extracting and Distributing ORMUS and Light  ─  The Ankh of Aten

and Bringing it to You

Ankhenaten Lab utilizes a small consortium of alchemists to make the products we offer to you. Our current offerings are based on both ancient and modern alchemical processes on Gold and selected Sea Salts or Earths. Most of the methods herein are based upon ancient techniques and modern developments in the broadening field of Alchemical information. Most of these methods have been enhanced or improved by the research work of the Alchemists of Ankhenaten Lab

All Methods at Ankhenaten Lab are disclosed with the intent of providing aid and direction to those who wish to learn. Each method has been tested and reproduced within the small group of alchemists associated with Ankhenaten Lab.

The information regarding methods is for research and enlightenment purposes only, and should not be attempted by persons without decent knowledge and understanding of Chemistry. We offer these methods to you for information only; any other use is at your own liability.

Please be careful and use safety equipment with all chemical processes.

Distilled water was used for this method, and is recommended over Spring Water, for consistency.

WARNING:
Attention! Lye (NaOH) will burn the skin and eyes. Use extreme caution when handling and using Lye. You can easily severely damage skin or be Blinded Permanently with a single splash! Lye is very hydrophilic and will easily absorb water from the air and turn into a very corrosive gel. Wear Gloves and Eye Protection. Wash thoroughly after ANY contact.

Celtic Salt may be used in this recipe, but it is so dirty, you may have to change out many filters as they get so clogged up with detritus that the water may not even flow through the filters anymore. It may take 4 or 5 changes of filters for these quantities.

If you choose to use Celtic Salt for your recipe, remember that each Salt is different, so you must check the pH more regularly and add Lye Solution more slowly to ensure you do not overshoot the recommended pH. It is also possible that you may even need to make more Lye Solution to even get the pH to 9.8 or so.

A Tall Narrow container may be used for the rinses. Simply pour your initial precipitate into this tall container, add water to fill to near the top, and continue as described. A Tall container makes the siphoning process more efficient by allowing more of the top water to be removed without disturbing the precipitate. An example is shown below.

Salt Alchemy - A Quick Lye Dump Method for ORMUS from Bokek Dead-Sea Salt

This Product is currently not available at Ankhenaten Lab, and the method herein is disclosed for information purposes only, but if it is desired, please contact us.

Equipment and Materials:

Important Notes:
This Lye Dump Recipe is only for use with Bokek brand Dead Sea Salt. This recipe may not work with other salts (like Celtic) because all salts react differently to the NaOH and you’ll need a different amount of NaOH to reach the right pH level on another type of salt solution.
This recipe is calibrated so that when you finish adding the NaOH you’ll end up with a pH between 9.8 and 9.9.
Also, the type of water you use may change the end pH so you may have to experiment to find the perfect amount of NaOH for your ingredients. Water filtered through the PUR Filter on the kitchen faucet is fine, and was used for this recipe.

Solutions to Prepare:
Salt Water Solution: Add 1 Cup Distilled Water to 1/4 Cup Bokek (1:4 ratio)
Lye Solution: Add 1 Tbsp NaOH to 1/2 Cup Distilled Water (1:8 Ratio)

Filter the Salt Water:
Filter the Salt Solution through 2 Coffee Filters. You should only have to pass your Salt Solution once through the filters as Bokek Dead Sea Salt is very clean.

Titrate (or better described as Slowly Dump in the Lye Solution):
# While stirring the Salt Water Solution with your Stainless Steel Spoon, add the Lye Solution in small splashes (See WARNING at left). Do not dump all of the Lye Solution in at once, take it a bit slowly.
# Keep adding Lye Solution while stirring the mix until all of the Lye Solution has been added to the mix. This should take no more than 10 to 15 minutes.
# When you have finished, you should have a white, somewhat thick, almost gelatinous precipitate in your container.
# The pH should be at around 9.8 or 9.9. It usually doesn’t go over 10.00. Of course, these numbers may vary some depending or your materials, but if you’re using Bokek Salt, it should be very close. It has been determined that adding more Lye than this, or having the pH higher than this, does not give more ORMUS precipitate nor does it make it more potent. Adding more Lye, most likely precipitates more Magnesium, as Magnesium Hydroxide, not more ORMUS.

Add Water and Set Aside:
Fill the container, with your precipitating solution in it, all the way to the top with distilled water and mix it up well. Adding additional water to the mix helps the rinse process proceed more effectively by dilution of unprecipitated Salt in the water.

After as little as 20 minutes you’ll see that the white precipitate has dropped to about 2 inches below the surface of the water, with a very sharp line of white against clear water.

After about 30 to 40 minutes the precipitate should have dropped considerably (close to the level of about the 2-cup mark on your 8-cup (2L) Pyrex container. (See the photo below).

Let it sit for at least 4 hours – overnight is better. The precipitate may continue to settle, but should still be close to about 2-cups in volume.

Rinse and Repeat:
Use your Plastic Hose to siphon out the water above the Precipitate. Get as close to the precipitate as possible, without disturbing or pulling the white sprecipitate into the siphon. When you get close to the white precipitate, control the flow of water by plugging it with your thumb, then release the pressure on your thumb slowly to let a trickle of water drip out a bit at a time. You’ll get better at this with practice.

Now, fill the container again to the top with Distilled Water or as much your container will hold – in our case up to the 8 cup mark. Let it settle again for at least 4 hours or longer until the precipitate appears to have stopped settling. Again, siphon off the top water, and repeat the rinse.

It is recommended to rinse the precipitate a total of 3 times. After the third rinse, siphon out the water and pour the white precipitate into your favorite container and enjoy!
