Ankhenaten Lab Information Note - ORMUS - What is it? A Discussion of Terms.
COLLOIDS ORMUS M-STATE ORME S-ORME
Quoting Barry Carter - "ORME, ormus and m-state all are generic terms which apply to any normally metallic elements in a spectroscopically 'invisible' non-metallic form. These terms apply regardless of which method was used to obtain them or the relative effectiveness of the element."
This does seem to be a good catch-all definition of the material, but lacking specifics. What does seem to be consistent is that all of these forms, even the metal Colloids appear to have measurable and sometimes significant properties regarding their effects upon the Human system. Individuality affects the specifics, but there are general trends associated with both the particular Elements involved and the forms they are in. But that is a subject for another discussion.
In this section we at Ankhenaten Lab hope to add a small bit of light to the subject, not necessarily supplying any 'new' information so much as just organizing it for your consideration.
Colloids are technically defined as -
The American HeritageŽ Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition:
"a) A system in which finely divided particles, which are approximately 10 to 10,000
angstroms in size, are dispersed within a continuous medium in a manner that prevents
them from being filtered easily or settled rapidly.
b) The particulate matter so dispersed."
WorldReference.com: "A mixture with properties between those of a solution and a fine suspension"
So, from these basic definitions we can determine that a Metal Colloid has properties similar to solutions (ionic), and suspensions, which are probably what are normally referred to as colloidal "suspensions", and that these suspended particles are clusters of metal-metal bonded atoms. The cluster sizes are described above as being between 1nm (10A) and 1um (10,000A).
Gold, for example, has an atomic radius of 144pm, or 144 Million nm. The smallest observed Gold Metal-Metal bond is ~2.47A, or 0.247um. So if we used a rough maximum packing of 0.25um per pair of atoms, a Colloidal cluster might have a diameter of perhaps 5 atoms to as many as 5000 atoms. The number of atoms in the cluster is considerably more complicated to calculate but probably consists of greater than ~150 atoms. This clearly is a cluster of Metal.
Ionic Metal cluster solutions may be thought of as having the outer surface of the cluster in a valence electron count state such that the net surface charge is positive or negative. For Gold, and most Metals, the surface charge of the ionic-metal-cluster will be Positive, having a deficit of net electrons, having given up electrons to another ionic type in the solution. Clearly it appears quite possible, and probable, from the discussions of many Colloid proponents that the mixture may consist of either or both, neutral Metal clusters "suspended" in solution, and/or ionic metal-clusters held in solution by charge attractions.
We've read Barry's definition above. Another good definition, equally broad in scope is at The Library of Halexandria: "The term, ORMUS, is equivalent to the ORME, but where there is no longer the implied assumption that the elements are in a monatomic form. This variation in the definition is fundamentally more scientific in that it does not attempt to box the subject into a preconceived package."
But if we specifially 'want' to box the definition in a bit, "ORMUS" becomes a more elusive term to define. What can at least say is that a Colloid is not ORMUS, rather it is simply Metal clusters, whether in an ionic solution or simply suspended. But, couldn't ORMUS aggregate into clusters of it's own and stay suspended in a water mixture? Sure - why not. So, some ORMUS products may in fact be colloidal ORMUS suspensions.
At Ankhenaten Lab we use the term ORMUS sparingly, as though it may be more politically correct {it's always easier to claim something is a thing which cannot be defined or placed in a definable category}, it says little specifically about the material. The term "ORMUS" can potentially apply to any group of these materials. I would add that even the claims regarding unassayable materials is scantily supported, as most producers do not have assays on their products, Ankhenaten Lab included at this time, though we do hope to get those done when finances allow it.
Before we try to clarify what ORMEs are, what about this other term which has creeped into usage: "M-State". I use this term prolifically in this site referring to "M-Gold" as the "M-State" form of Gold. So how does "M-State" fit in the picture.
Whether the "M" in "M-State" was coined to mean "Monatomic" has probably been lost to history, or perhaps Barry might know, but nevertheless, a more important characteristic is usually implied by the "M-State" designator, though not always. The man referred to as "The Essene" is attributed to coining the term, and it appears that he referred to a form of these materials which retained some level of valence functionality, which made the material capable of sustaining bonds with other atoms, at least loose ionic attraction bonds. This is typically what is referred to as M-State, and is often used to describe the ionic solutions of Gold and other ORMUS-Metal forms united with Sodium {or the Earth Metals}, Chloride {or the Halogens}, or both. Normally these forms are no longer referred to as M-state once dried and annealed to a powder form, though they sometimes are. And these forms are the predominant forms for ORMUS Platinum-Group Metals available from most producers.
Interestingly, the famous David Hudson patent refers exactly to the formation of ORMEs by taking Gold {and other PGMs} through chemical processes until their chemistry is altered as the M-State forms, then drying and annealing these materials, and they become the ORME form. The ORME form can be resuspended in water, but it does not return to the M-State form. It also appears that not all dried and annealed powders from M-State solutions, are ORMEs, so the distinctions do blur.
David Hudson coined the term "ORME", literally "Orbitally Rearranged Monatomic Element", as a monatom structure simply because that is what it seemed to be to him and his chemists at the time.
Most recently there has been much discussion of the diatomic verses monatomic constroversy. Even the diatom proponents seem to believe that the pairing of the two atoms is such that the bond-distances are far below normal metal-bonds, and are such that the diatom functions as a unit. Given that, if true, we may call them functionally monatoms, even if they are diatomic. These descriptions have gone so far as to describe "superdistorted" shapes for these structures, basing the arguments on BEC {Bose Einstein Condensates} and Cooper Pairing concepts. The arguments are well and good and may in fact help explain many of the phenomena described by these materials.
But what about these phenomena. Are all ORMEs Superconducting and gravity defying? Apparently not. Many White Powder of Gold products are available on the market today, but none claim the superconducting and gravity defying properties described by David Hudson {of course this data could easily change with new product availabilities}. David Hudson even seemed to realize that there were ORMEs and then there were these Special ORMEs. The latter he termed S-ORMEs, presumably for "Superconducting", though simply "special" would suffice in my book.
Basing our understanding on David Hudson's statements, the S-ORME form is quite special. It appears that a further transition step must be crossed to convert an ORME/M-State to an S-ORME, and it has been described as having to do with the Annealing process, as well as attributed to various forms of magnetic "charging" with spinning magnetic fields. Suffice it to say that no "S-ORME" products to my knowledge have made it to market. Some declare that no one who could or would make such product would dare sell it even, so it does leave most of the interested populace still searching for the "Holy Grail" of the "S-ORME": The Superconducting, Gravity Defying, Zero-Point Harnessing, Free-Energy Producing, Soul Evolving "Holy-Grail".
